TurboStarter vs IndieKit
TurboStarter and IndieKit, compared line by line on Pricing & licence, Tech stack, Billing features, Core features, Marketing & growth, Operations, AI, Tooling & updates.
TurboStarter wins once a team or a second platform is involved; IndieKit wins the moment the budget is $79 or the product is billed in credits.
Choose TurboStarter if- Included: Teams and roles must be in the first purchase
- Included: A mobile app or an extension is on the roadmap
- Included: Every dashboard string needs translating, not only marketing pages
Choose IndieKit if- Included: Prepaid credit balances are the billing model
- Included: $79 is the budget and refunds matter
- Included: Paddle, PayPal or Dodo has to be wired already
- Included: IndieKit's credit balances and TurboStarter's organizations both ship in GenerateSaaS for $249, in one repository rather than two kits or a bundle.
- Included: GenerateSaaS ships the audit log as a feature with a viewer in admin, and its user API keys carry per-key limits; IndieKit documents neither and TurboStarter's keys are a recipe.
- Included: Releases reach an edited GenerateSaaS project through a CLI that resolves the merge; IndieKit's path is a git pull and TurboStarter's CLI stops at the conflict list.

What each one gets right

TurboStarter
A Next.js, Expo and WXT kit shipping a web app, a mobile app and a browser extension from one codebase.
One licence covers three targets: a Next.js web app, an Expo app for iOS and Android and a WXT browser extension, sharing auth, billing, organizations and i18n. Billing runs on Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar and Dodo on the web and RevenueCat and Superwall in the app stores, with subscription, one-time, per-seat and metered variants.
Every developer needs a named seat and only one seat tier exists. The EULA keeps copyright notices in the code, permits unlimited client projects as long as the client never receives the source, and lets either side end the licence on thirty days' notice. Refunds are not offered once access is redeemed.
- Core Kit $249
- All-in-One $399

Strengths
- Included: Web, mobile and browser extension in one licence
- Included: Expo app included at $249
- Included: Four background-job runners documented
- Included: Nine deploy guides and five app stores
- Included: A CLI update command runs the merge
Trade-offs
- Not available: A seat per developer, no team tier
- Not available: Core ships no credits ledger
- Not available: Neither an audit log nor shipped API keys
- Not available: Rate limiting and persisted chat sit in the $399 bundle
- Not available: Legal pages ship empty

IndieKit
A low-cost Next.js kit with a full credits system, sold separately from its multi-tenant edition.
Credit balances, grants on signup and plan change, expiry, top-up purchase and admin adjustment ship as code, across five of its six payment providers.
Teams live in a second repository under its own B2B licence: $119 on its own, or $169 for the Full Kit bundling both, against $79 for the base kit. Refunds run three days, and only before you have shared access.
- Indie Kit $79
- Multi-Tenant Kit $119
- Full Kit $169

Strengths
- Included: Credit balances, grants and expiry
- Included: Six payment providers documented
- Included: The lowest paid entry price, $79
- Included: A three-day refund window
- Included: npx indiekit@latest scaffolds it
Trade-offs
